What is Musical Misfortune?

Musical misfortune is a multi category based game show for Guitarists who want to test their skills and win prizes including guitars, and guitar related equipment and accessories.

Four players will be competing in a 15 round game, guitarists will test their knowledge, skill, and quick thinking, to try to impress judges to score points. At the end of the 15 rounds the person with the most points at the end of the game is the winner. Top three receive prizes. $2500 for 1st place, $500 for 2nd, and $100 for 3rd.

The events are on going, and will be taking place in our Discord server. You can join the server here.

How do I become a contestant?

Firstly, by preforming in an open mic night, second, have a good quality mic and camera setup, and third, receive an Audition Invitation in our Discord, for the event. (dates for auditions will be posted on a later date) if you do get selected, you will get a message on your discord account from an administrator in our server, stating you have qualified to be a contestant in the game show. REMEMBER, To be a contestant on the Game Show, you first need to perform, on an open mic night, to be considered.

When will this be taking place?

As of right now there are no scheduled dates for the first Game Show. The open mics, are currently on the last Friday of every month, and have prize codes for the top three winners. $250 for 1st place, $100 for 2nd, and $50 for 3rd. Join our Discord to keep updated about our events. The Main Game Show, should be taking place as early as January 2026 and as late as March 2026. The winners of the Game Show will receive $2,500 for 1st place, $500 for 2nd, and $100 for 3rd. Contestants must choose between Gift Codes from Thomann, Sweetwater or Fractal Audio, it’s their choice.
